Meet Dr. Dico Hassid
Dico Hassid was born in Salonica, Greece and spent his childhood in Greece before emigrating with his family to Israel. He attended high school in Tel Aviv and after completing military service, came to the United States to begin his college education at the University of Houston. He was accepted into the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1982 and a Master of Science degree in 1985. Dr. Hassid practiced as a General Dentist for several years before deciding to specialize in Endodontics, and then completed the two-year residency in Endodontics through the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. He has limited his practice to Endodontics for over 20 years in order to provide his patients with the highest level of specialized treatment and care. Dr. Hassid has a strong clinical interest in microsurgery. Dr. Hassid has been active in several professional organizations and has served on committees for the Greater Houston Dental Society. In addition, he is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, where he served as a liaison between the graduate student membership and the Association. He maintains active memberships to the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society. He served as President of the Houston Academy of Endodontists and the Southwest Society of Endodontists. He has presented papers to the Greater Houston Dental Society and other professional study groups. Dr. Hassid and his wife have four children and two grandchildren. Outside of family and work, his favorite activities are playing golf, exercise, and travel.
